I am a qualified naturopath and nutritionist. I work one to one with clients from my own clinic in NSW, Australia. With the help of Skype I also conduct consultations with people all over the world in places like the Philippines, Mexico and the UK.
I specialise in Lupus and Lupus overlap conditions such as Sjörgens syndrome, Rheumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Mixed connective tissue disease, Vasculitis and Raynaud’s syndrome. I am regularly invited to conduct seminars at Hospitals and wellness centres. Here I provide advice on the many aspects of natural therapy such as diet, lifestyle and supplements and their use with autoimmune diseases. I am also a Lecturer at the WEA Hunter on the Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy Program.
I am currently furthering my naturopathic skills and studying a Bachelor of Medicines Management with Professional Honours in Complementary Medicine.
My passion is helping people with Lupus and this comes from a very personal place. I do not have Lupus, my husband and my mother in law do. My experience with this disease comes from both a professional perspective and a personal one.
As a carer I can relate to you and those you love. I know first hand the impact this disease can have on you and your closest friends and family. As a naturopath I have seen different kinds of people cope with Lupus and the many different ways it presents.
I have worked in the natural therapy industry for over 10 years; I began my career as a massage therapist and worked with many people experiencing chronic pain in one form or another. Over time my realisation was that although massaging was helping these people it wasn’t really providing my clients with a long-term solution, it was more of a band-aid, a temporary fix. This was when I began to look into supplements and food for health. So my journey with naturopathy and nutrition began.
I have spent a great deal of time analysing blood results, natural remedies, medications suggested by your specialist, dietary plans and ways to combat the side effects of your medications.
There are countless different ways to help you manage your disease. They can be either without the use of medications, OR with as little reliance on them as possible. Together we may possibly send your Lupus into remission.
By working out the driver of your disease we can help you to see the light at the end of the tunnel and help you feel positive about life once again.
What is a driver?
A driver is something, which has caused your disease to occur and keep it going. For instance the driver of my mother in laws Lupus was without doubt stress and smoking. She was raising 3 small children when her symptoms began and was under a fair amount of stress, she was also a heavy smoker. Eliminating these ‘drivers’ has enabled her to live in remission for more than 20 years.
What drives your disease? Are you ready to find out?
People with Lupus are told there is no cure and that all they can expect is a downward decline of health and an upward spiral in medications.
Lupus but it can be sent into remission and its possible for you to live a full and happy life. I am here to show you how.
